OFFICIAL
TOURNAMENT RULES
This tournament has
four species - categories in which
anglers ages twelve and under may
win prizes: Bass, Crappie, Catfish
and Perch.
-
The top three
largest bass, crappie, catfish
and perch each day will
determine the Little Anglers
Division winners for that
tournament day. Prizes will be
awarded on Sunday at final
awards ceremony. No child may
win more than one place each
day. For Example: If a child has
the 2nd largest catfish and the
3rd largest perch, he/she would
be awarded the 2nd Place prize
in the catfish category only.
This allows more children
opportunities to win awards.
-
Tournament
officials reserve the right to
refuse any entry. Participants
must be accompanied by a parent
or adult with written parental
permission.
-
Participants must
be 12 years of age or younger at
the time of the tournament to
compete and win prizes. It is
the responsibility of the parent
or guardian to insure the
eligibility of the child
entered.
-
Entry fee is $10
per day and must be paid prior
to fishing. No refunds or
substitutions of entry fee for
any reason will be allowed. No
checks accepted after the
deadline date specified for each
tournament; cash only at
registration locations and on
site. Contestants may pick up
their official tournament
packets at registration
locations; no packets will be
mailed.
-
Official weigh-in
time begins at 6 AM and ends at
12 noon of official tournament
day. Fish must be caught on
tournament lake between 6 AM and
12 noon of official tournament
day. No casting until 6 AM;
official time will be kept by
tournament officials and
announced by official radio
station.
-
Children may fish
with live bait or artificial
lures. Bank fishing is
permissible. If fishing from a
boat each person in the boat
must be a paid contestant in
either the Adult or Little
Anglers Division of that
McDonald’s® Big Bass Splash®
tournament.
-
Sportsmanship,
courtesy, safety, and
conservation are expected from
every contestant and their
guardian(s).
-
All fish
weighed-in must be of legal
length for tournament lake. Fish
must be brought to the weigh-in
line in an official weigh-in
bag.
-
Only one fish may
be brought through the weigh-in
line at a time and all fish
weighed-in become the property
of the tournament to be released
back into the lake as soon as
possible. No contestant may
weigh-in more than five fish per
day total, and only one fish may
be weighed at a time.
-
Fish must be
weighed in by contestant who
originally caught the fish, and
it must be in said contestants
physical possession in the
weigh-in line. Children must be
accompanied by a parent or
guardian at the time of
weigh-in.
-
The last official
weigh-in will end each day at 12
noon.
