LITTLE ANGLERS DIVISION  – ENTRY FEE: $10 Per Day

GUIDELINES:

  1. The Little Anglers events consist of 4 species: BASS – CATFISH – CRAPPIE – PERCH.
  2. The top 3 largest bass, catfish, crappie and perch each day will determine the winners for that tournament day.
  3. No child may win more than one place overall each day. Example: If a child has the 2nd largest catfish and the 3rd largest perch, he/she would be awarded the 2nd place prize in the catfish category only. This allows more children opportunities to win.
  4. All fish brought to weigh in must be of the legal length for that tournament lake.
  5. Little Anglers must fish from the bank and/or pier.
  6. Little Anglers are not allowed to fish from a boat, unless every person in the boat is a paid contestant of the Big Bass Splash for that tournament day. NO EXCEPTIONS!

ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Little Anglers Division is open to youth ages 5-12 at the time of the event to compete and win prizes.
  2. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to insure the eligibility of the child entered.
  3. All participants must be able to land their own fish.
  4. All State & Federal penal code laws shall apply at all times.
  5. State, Coast Guard, Federal Parks & Wildlife regulations shall apply at all times.

REGISTRATION AND ENTRY FEE: 

  1. Completed entry form along with entry fee of $10 per day must be received before fishing.
  2. No checks accepted after the specified deadline date for each tournament; cash & credit only at specified registration locations, as well as, at tournament venue.
  3. Official Tournament Packets will not be mailed out, they must be picked up at registration locations. No Refunds or substitution of entry fees for any reason.

PERMITTED FISHING AREAS & HOURS:

  1. Official weigh-in time begins at 7am and the last official weigh in will end at 12 Noon each official tournament day.
  2. Fish must be caught on tournament lake between (6am and 12 Noon) of official tournament day. No casting until 6am; official time will be kept by tournament officials.

WEIGH IN SPORTSMANSHIP AND CONSERVATION:

  1. Sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation are expected from every participant and their guardian(s).
  2. Contestants may only weigh in a total of 3 fish per day, and only one fish may be brought through the weigh in line at a time.
  3. All fish must be brought to weigh in line in an official weigh bag with water.
  4. Little Angler must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at time of weigh in.
  5. The contestant who originally caught the fish must weigh in fish and it must be in said contestants physical possession in the weigh-in line.
  6. All fish weighed in become the property of the tournament to be released back into the lake as soon as possible.
