It was a beautiful weekend of Fishing, Family & Fun at the “Fall Shootout” BBS on Lake Sam Rayburn with $200,000 Guaranteed in Cash & Prizes! 836 anglers, representing multiple states across the country, came to compete in this annual event. Over the two days, there were 241 fish weighing 1023.63 lbs.
Dennis Narcisse of St. Martinville, LA weighed in his 8.05-pound big bass during the 12-1 Bonus T-shirt hour on Day 2 winning him $2,000 plus the 1st Place Overall and the keys to a 2023 Phoenix 919 Pro XP powered by Mercury, equipped with Minn Kota Trolling Motor, Humminbird Electronics, Navionics and Power Pole. 2nd Place Overall went to James Seek of Goodrich, TX with a 7.67-pound bass netting him $2,500 plus an additional $1,000 in hourly winnings during the 9-10 hour on Saturday.
3rd Place Overall was Zack Lucas of Brookeland, TX with a 7.57-pound bass netting him $2,000 plus an additional $1,000 in hourly winnings during the 1-2 hour on Sunday.
4th Place Overall was Jeff Manous of Hemphill, TX with a 7.35-pound bass netting him $1,500 plus an additional $1,000 in hourly winnings during the 10-11 hour on Saturday.
5th Place Overall was Jared Maxson of Sugarland, TX with a 7.33-pound bass netting him $1,000 plus an additional $1,000 in hourly winnings during the 10-11 hour on Sunday.
The exact weight winners each day received $2,500 for being the first to weigh in an exact 3.00 and 4.00. Saturday was Chris McCall of Kirbyville, TX with a 3.00 and William Crain of Lufkin, TX with a 4.00. Sunday, the 4.00 was the only one weighed in by Anthony Waguspack of Lumberton, TX.
We had one drawing on Sunday at the awards ceremony for the unclaimed 3.00 exact and the lucky winner was Harold Hopson of Cleveland, TX. He was drawn amongst all the contestants who entered the event netting him $2,500.
Joe Daw of Montgomery, TX was the last man standing during the Famous “Elimination Drawing” taking home a brand new 2024 Idle Time 241 RKS Travel Trailer valued at $48,000.
