On Day 3 during the 8-9 Bonus Hour Dawson Lenz of Senoia, GA weighed in an 8.25 pounder taking the lead and holding it until the end. It was a beautiful weekend of Fishing, Family & Fun at this year’s Sealy Outdoors Big Bass Splash on Lake Guntersville, AL. with a $290,000 Guaranteed Payout in Cash & Prizes. Over 1,100 anglers, representing multiple states across the country came to compete in this annual event. During this 3-day event there were 1064 bass brought to the scales totaling 4286.04 lbs.
2nd Place Overall went to Gary Woodall of Scottsboro, AL with his 7.83 pounder netting him $2,500 plus an additional $3,000 in hourly winnings during 12-1 Bonus Hour on Friday.
3rd Place Overall went to Kerry Bethune of Boaz, AL with his 7.45 bass netting him $2,000 plus an additional $3,000 in hourly winnings during the 8-9 Bonus Hour on Friday.
4th Place Overall went to Jimmy Ronald Smith of Albertville, AL with his 7.35 pounder netting him $1,500 plus an additional $3,000 in hourly winnings during the 12-1 Bonus Hour on Sunday.
5th Place Overall went to Jeffrey Masters of Scottsboro, AL with his 7.07 pounder netting him $1,000 plus an additional $1,500 in hourly winnings during the 1-2 Hour on Sunday.
James Linger of Bellefontaine, Ohio was the lucky winner of this year’s Elimination Drawing during Sunday’s awards ceremony. James won a fully rigged Phoenix 819 Pro XP bass boat powered by Mercury, equipped w/Minn Kota and Humminbird valued at $50,000.
